Coffee is an absolute must for me in the morning. I’m not a coffee connoisseur or anything. I just LOVE a good coffee, and so does my husband.
Let’s be real, Australia has the best coffee, so coming to New York it was a must to source great coffee nearby. The real stuff. Not filter.
For my fellow Aussie coffee lovin’ peeps, here are five great places to grab a coffee in New York City:
+ Ruby’s Cafe ::
Location: 219 Mulberry St, Nolita
One of the original Aussie cafes tucked away in the heart of Nolita. Ruby’s is a cosy and intimate cafe with reggae music playing in the background. We really enjoyed this cup.
+ Berkli Park ::
Location: 63 Delancey St, Lower East Side
A California-inspired cafe & bar located in New York’s Lower East Side. It’s a great spot to work, write or read.
+ Bluestone Lane Collective Cafe ::
Location: 55 Greenwich Ave, West Village
A Melbourne-inspired coffee place offering Australian-style espressos. If you’re missing Australian inspired coffee and breakfast, head here and try the Avocado Smash, it’s been featured in the New York Times, The Food Network etc.
My husband and I shared the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and the famous Avocado Smash – they were both amazeballs.
+ Swallow Cafe ::
Location: 156 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn
We came across this quaint little cafe by accident while we were wandering around Brooklyn. The coffee was great and the decor was gorgeous.
+ Toby’s Estate Coffee ::
Location: 125 North 6th Street, Brooklyn
We didn’t get a chance to sample the coffee, however it comes highly recommended. They’re a small batch roaster located in Brooklyn, with three other cafes using their beans throughout Manhattan.
