What’s your morning routine?
At the moment, I am transitioning between stages in life and business, so my morning routine is forever changing, or rather, I am forever releasing the need to always stick to the same rhythm. My focus is on connecting with how I am feeling in that moment, rather than being rigid and too controlled.
I actually love and thrive off routine, so I have implemented it ALL at different stages of my life – from meditation, to journaling, the face ice bath, the strict exercise ‘must move my body every morning’ rule – high intensity group sessions, running, yoga. The bullet proof coffee, juices, oil pulling, body brushing, smoothies and supplements etc.
In my own personal experience, we all want to feel in control of our life (me too!) and therefore we use our mind to direct our behaviour. We adapt and trial others rituals, which is great – if it feels right for you. But often we ignore the misalignment and then feel more pressure stick to them / or disappointment when we let go of them. Or perhaps we continue, not acknowledging that there has been a shift and it doesn’t feel right any longer.
So right now? I rise early…. and I see what happens.

Do you have a morning ritual that no matter how crazy your morning is (knowing your normal routine won’t get done), you do?
If I am to speak of today and what actually feels really supportive and nourishing? My non negotiables? Kiss my boyfriend and tidy my space, office included. Water my plants, light incense and put oils in my diffuser. If I do yoga, meditate or we get to take Louie (our chocolate lab) for a walk or to the beach and have a coffee together, this is my ultimate!
What’s your guiding word for 2017?
At If I close my eyes and think about my word for right now, it is surrender. And listen.
What’s your favourite morning beauty hack or product?
Post shower, coating my body in Almond Oil mixed with whatever essential oil I am being drawn to. Today it is ‘Compassion’ (the Heart Chakra) by Perfect Potion. They are a delicious company from Brisbane!
What is your go to breaky that makes you feel amazing?
A green smoothie always makes me feel like I am being kind to my body! I throw in whatever ingredients I have, but staples are mostly frozen banana, kale, cucumber, lemon, ginger, turmeric, coconut oil, chia seeds and a mixed greens powder.
What book are you reading right now?
Rushing Woman’s Syndrome by Dr Libby Weaver and ‘White Magic’ by Lucy Cavendish.
If you could only share one piece of wisdom with the world that you’ve learned on your journey so far, what would it be?
Close your eyes to the world and be guided by your heart, not your eyes.
